Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Landscape Converter ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Landscape Converter is an iOS video conversion app that transforms vertical video (such as YouTube Shorts in 9:16 aspect ratio) into landscape format (16:9) by placing the video centred over a blurred and dimmed version of itself as the background. The App provides controls for blur intensity, brightness, edge shadow, and colour tint, and exports the finished video as an H.264 MP4 file directly to your camera roll.

The App requires iOS 17 or later and performs all processing on-device. No account creation or internet connection is required to use the App.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the App to process or distribute content that infringes on others' copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
  • Use the App to create or distribute illegal, harmful, defamatory, or obscene content
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App
  • Use the App in any way that violates Apple's App Store terms or guidelines

Your Content

You retain full ownership of all videos and media you process with the App. Because all processing is on-device and we collect no data, we never have access to your content. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any video or media you process and distribute.

Intellectual Property

The App and all its original content, features, and functionality are owned by David and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App itself.

No Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
  • Conversion results will meet every specific quality expectation
  • The App will be compatible with future versions of iOS

Video conversion results depend on the quality and characteristics of your source material. We encourage you to keep original copies of any video you process.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of video files, or device issues. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any).

Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Updates to the App

We may release updates to the App from time to time to add features, fix bugs, or maintain compatibility with new iOS versions. We recommend keeping the App updated. We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any feature at any time without notice.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
